What kind of photographer (artist) are you..?
Are you a fashion-photographer frequenting New York, Milan and Paris..? Or maybe youre a dreamer shooting art-photos that the world hasnt discovered yet, and only you understand..? Maybe youre a sports-photographer, a macro-fan (extreme-close ups of flowers and insects
) or a wedding-photographer..?
Maybe you wander alone in the deep wilderness discovering hidden beauty, just you and your camera..? Maybe youre a camera-fan and love more your camera than the photos you shoot..? Maybe you shoot photos of animals in the zoo, pretending theyre wild and untamed..? Maybe you take self-portraits, not finding anything else important..? Maybe you only shoot images of nudes..? Maybe you just play by instinct..?
Do you shoot your photos to get acknowledged and famous, or maybe you prefer to tell the truth with your images; even its only your own truth..?
Life is to me; to grow and evolve. So also with photography; whatever approach we go for, its all about choices. I dont think that integrity and substance come with being a follower, or pleasing an audience. It comes with being true to ones heart. So simple, but yet so difficult...
So please tell me amigos: What kind of artist and photographer are you..?

I am working on a new sculpture piece from scrape wood from a local mill, It is a very “Green “ piece of work assembled with wood pegs, glue and will be finished with a water based finish. No metal or plastics. This method is not new to me as I have completed many commissions for pieces in Catholic Churches and have only used wood peg and glue. The difference is the size; this piece is over a meter tall and heavy. The Church commissions were small and not very heavy. I am in waiting mode now as I am giving the glue 4 or 5 days to fully dry so I can turn it over to finish the back without breaking anything. I will keep you up to date on the progress.

Thanks to Che Guevara, we still have cheap Cubanos here in Argentina. Personally I like Romeo & Julieta, Monte Cristo and Cohiba (Castro smokes the latter, although I find them a little over-prized). Some women want to copy men, like smoking cigars and playing rugby. This is so little attractive, same as I should wear women lingerie (and that is not going to happen...).
Well, I'm an old man with old values; and proud of it. So many of the young wannabees want to go for the hip and popular. Personally I go more for character and integrity.
I would like to see your new art-piece. It sounds rather interesting! Best of luck with your progress!

You are right there is something to be said for girls being girls and guys being guys! I have not seen many female rugby players whom I was not somewhat afraid of, I played a few seasons many years ago and the ladies cheered from the side and drank a few cold ones, but never smoked cigars!
I am glad to see that both feel the same on guys wearing women’s lingerie!
I am unsure on the whole, “No Cuban Cigars” in America for national security thing; yes some of Cuba’s politics are a little wacky but, No Cigars?
I had a minor setback of me sculpture piece, I broke a small part while moving it, the fix has been completed and we are again waiting for the glue to dry! It puts me a few days behind schedule but I will make that work!
We are eagerly awaiting the start of global warming as it is June and we have not had a day above 72f this year! I can see snow from the back deck of the house. I would like to paint outside a little but not when it is cold and wet everyday! I added a photograph to me gallery, a landscape in Wyoming, I like it there a lot, but very cold and long winters.
I must cook now,
Wicklow

I hope your new sculpture are getting ready soon, and I hope you show it on your page.
Personally, for the moment I'm working on long-exposure night photos of the Nordic Sea.
